Center for disease control and prevention CDC presented a series of important guidelines amidst schools reopening. The CDC guideline statement also includes that, “Schools Reopening can determine, in collaboration with state and local health official to the extent possible, whether and how to implement these considerations while adjusting to meet the unique needs and circumstances of the local community”, adding,” implementation should be guided by what is feasible, practical, acceptable, and tailored to the needs of each community.”

CDC Guidelines

– Wearing face masks for older students and staff members is recommended in the places where practicing physical distancing isn’t possible. — Children under 2 don’t need to wear masks.
– Students and all staff are encouraged not to come to school if they are ill or have been exposed to someone who is.
– Practice good hygiene such as hand washing for 20 seconds, using hand sanitizer and tissues while sneezing.
– High-touch surfaces must be cleaned at least once every day.
– Maintain a six-foot distance in the classrooms. If not possible, put up partitions to maintain considerable distance.

– Eating and play areas should be disinfected after use.
– Encourage pupils to bring individual food supplies daily in a lunch box.
– Set up a strategy for drop-off and pickup times to avoid overcrowding of the areas.
– Covid-19 prevention guidelines sign must be posted across the center. Communicate prevention advice via the school’s PA system.
