Life, property and honour of none shall be harmed, says Taliban
After Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other government officials left the country, control of Kabul has fallen to the Taliban, who say their fighters are carrying out security responsibilities in various parts of the country and in Kabul.
Taliban leaders have issued an order for their “mujahideen” that no one is allowed to enter anyone’s house without permission.
In a message on the micro-blogging website Twitter, Mohammad Sohail Shaheen, spokesman for the Taliban’s political office, said, “the Islamic Emirate has ordered its Mujahideen and once again instructs them that no one is allowed to enter anyone’s house without permission. Life, property and honour of none shall be harmed but must be protected by the Mujahedeen.”

Earlier, in a tweet, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid assured foreign embassies, institutions and residents in Kabul that they were safe and that everyone should live in Kabul with confidence.
In the message, the spokesman also said that the forces of the “Islamic Emirate” have been given the responsibility to maintain the security situation in Kabul and other cities of the country.

Posting a video, he said that the Taliban had deployed special units in different parts of Kabul and that the people were happy with the arrival of Mujahideen and satisfied with the security.
Earlier, the Taliban said in an interview with the BBC that “there should be no trouble in Kabul.”
We assure the people, especially in Kabul, that their property and lives are safe and no revenge will be taken from anyone.
Sohail Shaheen said that they are the servants of the people and the country. Their leadership had told us to stay on the doorstep of Kabul and they were waiting for the peaceful transfer of important power.
The Taliban spokesman said that the Taliban did not enter Kabul because they wanted to avoid bloodshed and destruction.
The question was whether the Taliban were willing to work with General Mohammad Dostum or any Afghan leader. “The Taliban are ready to work with any Afghan because we want to start a new chapter of peace, tolerance and peaceful coexistence,” Shaheen said.
