After dying in a car accident, a mother of two who “never spared affection for her children and life partner” received tributes. Renata Sumiga, 38, of Newtown, Powys, was killed in a two-vehicle collision on the A483 between Llanbister and Camnant on March 16.

A white Toyota Yaris and a Volkswagen Passat were involved in the incident, which occurred at 7.30 p.m. The crash seriously injured a 20-year-old lady in the Yaris.

Ms Sumiga’s family has finally paid their respects to her. “Renata was the mother of two amazing sons who never spared love for her children and life partner,” they stated in a statement. Renata was always eager to provide a helping hand and give her time and attention to others. Despite the various problems of everyday life, she was very nice to all of her family, friends, and acquaintances, and she was always cheery. “She will be greatly missed.”

Dyfed-Powys Police has issued a new witness appeal for anybody who observed the incident or spotted these cars in the vicinity at the relevant times. Anyone with CCTV or Ring doorbells in the vicinity is requested to contact the investigating team if they have any information.
