Following US President Joe Biden’s cautious reaction to Russian assertions that they are cutting back certain military activities in Ukraine, a US official said “no one should be deceived by Russia’s pronouncements” and that the US should instead brace for additional Russian aggression.

“We believe any movement of Russian soldiers from surrounding Kyiv is a repositioning, not a withdrawal,” the official told CNN. “The world should be prepared for a big onslaught against other parts of Ukraine.”

“It also does not imply that the threat to Kyiv has passed. Russia has failed to capture Kyiv and has failed to subjugate all of Ukraine, but it may still inflict immense savagery on the nation, including Kyiv “added the official.

Biden stated that he and European leaders he met with Tuesday morning decided to wait and see what Russia had to give, while also keeping an eye on their behaviour in the meanwhile.
