Russian forces have pulled back some of their fighters from the Lyman settlement in the Donetsk region. According to source, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces stated this in a recent Facebook war update.

The enemy did not stop offensive activities in the Eastern Operational Zone as of 18:00 on May 29 in order to fully seize the Donetsk and Luhansk areas and cut Ukraine’s naval connectivity in the Black Sea’s northwestern sector.

The aggressor resumed shelling the Chernihiv and Sumy regions’ border areas, particularly the Chernihiv region’s communities of Senkivka, Hirsk, Khrinivka, Hasychivka, and the Sumy region’s settlements of Bachivsk, Seredyna Buda, Boiaro-Lezhachi, and Manukhivka.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy launched assault operations in the area of Pasika – Bohorodychne with artillery assistance, but were unsuccessful and retreated to previously seized positions. The enemy used artillery and mortars to fire upon the communities of Velyka Komyshuvakha, Dovhenke, and Virnopillia multiple times.

In the districts of Sievierodonetsk, Bakhmut, and Kurakhove, Russian troops engaged in active engagements. The enemy’s main purpose is to encircle Ukrainian soldiers in the Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk districts and disrupt the key supply routes.
