AMMAN: Jordan’s air defenses intercepted and destroyed 10 ballistic missiles launched from Iran after 13 missiles entered Jordanian airspace on Tuesday, September 1, the Jordan Armed Forces said, as authorities moved to secure missile debris and protect residents from possible danger.
The General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces said its air defense units successfully intercepted and destroyed ten missiles, while the remaining three landed in remote areas away from populated communities.
The military said the operation was carried out under established defense procedures. No deaths, injuries, or major property damage were reported following the missile barrage.
Military and engineering teams were sent to the locations where the missiles landed. The teams secured the impact sites and began handling the debris to prevent further risks to the public.
