LOS ANGELES: Jungkook’s 29th birthday got an extra dose of love Tuesday as BTS celebrated their youngest member onstage and backstage during the group’s Los Angeles concert, turning his special day into a memorable night for the band and fans.
The celebration came during BTS’ first Los Angeles concert on Sept. 1, which coincided with Jungkook’s birthday. During “Mic Drop,” BTS leader RM surprised his bandmate with a brief birthday shoutout after the song’s familiar interlude.
“JK, happy birthday!” RM called out, prompting smiles from the other members as they continued performing without missing a beat.
A clip from the moment showed RM onstage in a distressed white-and-brown “anti-death MOVEMENT” top, glasses and gloves before the camera turned toward Jungkook, who smiled while singing in a blue, multicolored jacket.

The birthday celebration continued backstage, where V and J-Hope gave fans a glimpse of the private festivities through their Instagram Stories.
V shared a photo of Jungkook posing with a birthday cake decorated with white frosting and colorful fruit, offering fans a brief look at the celebration away from the concert stage.

J-Hope shared a video showing Jungkook being surprised with a cake by his bandmates. The birthday boy appeared visibly shy as the members gathered around him. He briefly bowed before the cake, then leaned in to blow out the candles.
