LAHORE: Lahore Safari Park is set to launch Pakistan’s first permanent 7D cinema next month, offering visitors an immersive wildlife experience that combines modern technology, education and conservation in one attraction.
The new cinema is part of a wider modernization project designed to improve visitor experiences and promote wildlife tourism across Punjab. The facility will use immersive digital technology to help visitors learn more about wildlife, biodiversity and the relationship between humans and animals.
The project, titled “Immersive Wildlife Experience (Cinema & Moving Theatre) in Punjab,” also includes mobile moving theaters. These units are planned to travel to different parts of Punjab, allowing people outside Lahore to experience educational wildlife content.

According to the project details, the scheme has a total estimated cost of Rs. 1.72 billion and was planned over a 24 month period from July 2024 to June 2026.
The announcement has already attracted a mixed reaction online, with some social media users expressing excitement while others questioned what “7D” means.
“Bring this to Islamabad too,” one user commented, calling for a similar attraction in the capital, another user joked, “Does 7 mean BTS?”
One commenter questioned the technology behind the attraction, writing, “we live in 3d and science barely able to see 4d through!”
The 7D cinema is expected to use a combination of visual effects, motion based experiences and other immersive features to make wildlife education more engaging for visitors.
The project also aims to support Punjab’s wildlife tourism sector by introducing attractions that combine entertainment with educational content, the initiative reflects a growing effort to use modern technology to make environmental education more interactive and accessible to the public.
