MG Motor Pakistan has officially announced that the all-new MG ZS Hybrid will launch in Pakistan on July 29, 2026, ending speculation surrounding the company’s latest SUV teaser.
The company had been teasing the arrival of a new vehicle without revealing its name or launch date. Based on the design shown in the teaser images, many expected it to be the latest-generation MG ZS.
MG has now confirmed that the ZS Hybrid will make its official debut July 29, adding another hybrid SUV to its lineup in Pakistan.
The upcoming model is the second-generation MG ZS, which underwent a complete redesign when it debuted in international markets.
Compared with the previous ZS sold in Pakistan, the new model features a more modern exterior, a redesigned interior and an updated hybrid powertrain.
In international markets, the MG ZS Hybrid+ is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine paired with an electric motor and a self-charging hybrid system.
For example, the Australian version features a 1.83-kWh battery, a 100-kW electric motor and a combined system output of 158 kW. It is also equipped with a three-speed hybrid transmission.
However, MG has not confirmed whether the Pakistani version will have the same specifications.
Internationally, the MG ZS Hybrid+ is available with features including a 12.3-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, MG Pilot driver-assistance technology, seven airbags and a 360-degree camera, depending on the variant.
Higher trim levels also offer features such as a panoramic sunroof and an electric tailgate.
The new generation is larger than its predecessor and offers 443 liters of cargo space, which expands to 1,457 liters with the rear seats folded, based on international specifications.
MG has not yet announced the price, variants, full specifications or booking details for the ZS Hybrid in Pakistan.
The company is expected to reveal those details during the official launch event July 29.
The new MG ZS Hybrid will enter Pakistan’s increasingly competitive hybrid SUV market as automakers continue expanding their electrified vehicle lineups.
Its price is expected to play a key role in determining how well it competes with the growing number of hybrid crossover SUVs already available in the local market.
