Makkah: Pilgrims from across the world have begun performing the rituals of Hajj, as millions of worshippers continue arriving in Mina, the “city of tents,” where deeply spiritual scenes are unfolding alongside the continuous echoes of “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik”.
The arrival of pilgrims in Mina is expected to continue throughout the day, while all Hajj pilgrims will spend the night between Monday and Tuesday in the holy site as part of the scheduled Hajj rituals.
On Tuesday, 9th Zil Hajj (Dhul-Hijjah), pilgrims will proceed to the plains of Arafat to perform the most important pillar of Hajj, Waqoof-e-Arafat, where they will engage in prayers, supplications, and remembrance of Allah in a deeply spiritual gathering.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Meteorological Department has warned that severe heat conditions are likely to persist in Makkah and surrounding areas during the Hajj period, with temperatures expected to rise up to 47°C.
Saudi authorities have advised pilgrims to take precautionary measures, including avoiding direct sunlight, staying well hydrated, and following safety guidelines to protect themselves from heat-related risks during the sacred pilgrimage.
