Pakistan’s armed forces on “Youm-e-Istehsal” Kashmir expressed solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir and paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the region, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said the Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to the principles of justice, peace and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. It also called on the international community to play an effective role in finding a peaceful solution to the long standing dispute.

He said Kashmiri people should be given the right to decide their future, adding that Youm-e-Istehsal represents Pakistan’s renewed commitment to standing with the people of Kashmir.

The prime minister said that even after seven years, Indian actions had failed to weaken the determination of the Kashmiri people. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would continue raising the Kashmir issue at international forums and supporting efforts for a peaceful resolution.

On Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, Pakistan reaffirmed its continued support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and called for a peaceful and fair solution to the dispute in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
