Sony’s upcoming WF-1000XM4 earphones have been leaked yet again, this time via an official movie that was temporarily available on YouTube. Unfortunately for Sony, the video is now available on Reddit, where we discovered it according to an Engadget reader. The video adds to yesterday’s already comprehensive leak by providing some further info on the earphones.

Sony claims in the video that the WF-1000XM4 has newly developed drivers that boost sound quality. These are supported by Sony’s LDAC Bluetooth codec and DSEE Extreme upsampling technology, which Sony claims makes compressed audio files seem more alive. They, like the WH-1000XM4, support 360 Reality Audio and have Hi-Res Audio certification. The video emphasizes a feature that earlier leaks did not: the earbuds have Sony’s Speak-to-Chat function. When they identify that you’re talking to someone, they will silence whatever audio you’re listening to.

The video also confirms many of the key features revealed by WinFuture in yesterday’s leak. It highlights IPX4-certified water-resistance as well as Qi wireless charging. It also claims that when using ANC, you’ll get up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge, and 12 hours when the feature is turned off. With the provided charging case, you may get a total of 36 hours of gaming. According to the footage, after five minutes of charging, you may receive 60 minutes of battery life.

The video makes no mention of pricing or availability. WinFuture said on Thursday that the WF-1000XM4 would cost €279.90 in Europe. At the time of its release, Sony charged $230 for the WF-1000XM3.
