With the emergence of more new cases, the total number of confirmed coronavirus patients has risen to 45,061 while the death toll has reached 969.

The Pandemic in Pakistan has been going on for almost 3 months and during this time the number of cases has been increasing with each passing day.

If we look at this period of about 3 months, the first case reported in the country on February 26, 2020, after which by the end of March the number of these cases exceeded 2000 while the death toll remained at 26.

In April, the spread of the virus accelerated and in one month, ie by April 30, the number of cases in Pakistan reached more than 16,000 and the death toll reached 385.

However, the month of May has so far proved to be the most dangerous in terms of the spread of the virus, and from May 1 to May 18, in just 18 days, the number of cases increased from 16,000 to 43,000, while deaths  toll also crossed the number 900.

However, various restrictions and lockdowns imposed at the government level are being relaxed, while the Supreme Court yesterday annulled the government’s decision to close business centers on Saturday and Sunday. Giving permission to open all shopping malls across the country.

Sindh

Another 706 new cases and 19 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in Sindh.

According to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, after these 706 new cases in the province, the total number has risen to 17,947. He said that 19 deaths reported in the province during the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 299.

He said that at present the condition of 135 patients is critical while 34 are on ventilators.

He also said that so far 131,376 people have been tested for coronavirus in the province.

Punjab
Another 630 new cases and 13 deaths from the COVID-19 were reported in Punjab.

According to the spokesperson of Primary and Secondary Care, the total number of victims in the last 24 hours in the province has increased to 15,976.

He said that there were 13 more deaths in the province after which the number of deaths due to the virus in the province has risen to 273 so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, another 324 cases of coronavirus Pandemic and 11 deaths were reported.

According to the provincial health department, the total number of victims in the province has risen to 6,554 with these new cases.

Islamabad

In the federal capital Islamabad, where the number of cases was initially low, but now it has now crossed one thousand.

Another 37 people in Islamabad were affected by the Pandemic, according to official figures.

Balochistan

The Balochistan Health Department confirmed 65 new cases, bringing the number of people infected with coronavirus in the province to 2,885.

The statement said that the number of active cases in Balochistan is 2239 while 608 people have been cured from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan was one of the least affected areas, but now there is an increase in cases.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10 more people were diagnosed with the virus in the last 24 hours.

After these 10 new victims, the number of people infected with Coronavirus in Gilgit-Baltistan increased from 540 to 550.

Azad Kashmir

In Azad Kashmir, Three more people were affected. It should be noted that Azad Kashmir currently has the lowest number of victims and deaths in the country. After the three victims in Azad Kashmir, the total number of cases reached 115.
