The second phase of Smart Lockdown has started in Karachi to curb the spread of Coronavirus.

According to the details, the second phase of smart lockdown has started in Karachi. Deputy Commissioner has also issued the notification.

According to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Smart Lockdown has been implemented in Gulshan and Jamshed Town of East District of Karachi under which Smart Lockdown will be held in 6 UCs of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Smart Lockdown in one UC of Jamshed Town.

The notification said that during the smart lockdown, the movement of residents will be banned while the lockdown will start at midnight and will remain in force till July 18.

The notification also said that Smart Lockdown will also be implemented in Block 13D2, Block 4, 7 and 11 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal while Block 2, 3, Block 13A, B and C of Gulshan-e-Iqbal will be sealed.

According to the notification, PECHS Block 2 of Jamshed Town will also be affected by Smart Lockdown while Tariq Road will remain closed till July 18 due to Smart Lockdown.

A notification issued by the deputy commissioner said that all businesses in the affected areas would remain closed while food and retail outlets would remain open.

The notification further said that during the Q-lockdown, private events in the area will also be banned, public transport, pillion riding, home delivery will also be banned in these areas.
