Turkey had developed its first domestically manufactured maritime missile, ATMACA.

According to the details, the country has tested its first naval missile today (Jun 7), the missile has successfully passed its latest long-distance test launch.

A head of the Defense Industries Presidency (SSB) Ismail Demir said that the missile will soon enter the security forces’ weapons inventory.

He further wrote on Twitter, “ATMACA flew a long distance this time. It successfully hit a target over 200 kilometers away and is ready to enter the weapons inventory.”

The sources said that the missile has a range of up to 250 kilometers, it is to be noted that the missile can float low above water and can reach its target both on a linear and a vertical plane.

The sources also said that the target of the missile can be changed even after launch and it is highly protected against electronic blocking.
