ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the people of Pakistan are looking forward to bid welcome President Xi Jinping to Pakistan.

He said that in a farewell dinner organised for Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing. The Prime Minister appreciated the role of the Chinese Ambassador in further strengthening Pak-China relations.

The Prime Minister said that CPEC entered the second phase during Ambassador Yao Jing’s Tenure. In the second phase, CPEC is focused on industrial, agricultural, socio-economic development. The second phase of CPEC will play a key role in promoting regional development and prosperity.

On the occasion, the Chinese Ambassador said that the Prime Minister’s vision and leadership has an important role to play in the transformation of Pakistan. He also Thanked to the the Prime Minister to pay heed on CPEC. CPEC will provide immense benefits to the entire region including Pakistan, he added.

He said that the policy of smart lockdown on Coronavirus has been accepted globally, the idea can be implemented to deal with the second wave of Coronavirus.
