As the monsoon hits India, floods and major water logging have occurred in numerous sections of the country. Heavy rains battered portions of Telangana on Tuesday, disrupting daily activities.

As images of automobiles being carried away in these torrential rains have become popular, it was discovered that a car was connected to rope in a handmade pulley type of contraption to prevent it from being swept away as the entire area was flooded. Telugu Cinema posted this video to YouTube.

As terrible as the occurrence could have been, netizens are always on the lookout for a good laugh. This footage from Telangana’s flood-ravaged Siricilla town has gone viral on social media.

According to accounts, the car owner got the idea after seeing other vehicles washed away in the floodwaters. He connected ropes to all four ends of the car and secured the other end to concrete pillars on top of his house.
