The wait is over for daydreamers. After a six year long hiatus, Adele is finally releasing her new album titled “30”, on November 19th 2021. The fifteen time Grammy winner had been cryptically hinting at this release for some time now, especially when several billboards projected the title of her album “30” in various locations including Rome, Berlin and New York. Much speculation over its delay was addressed by her manager Jonathan Dickins when he revealed that the album was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This will be the artist’s fourth album in her music career and is expected to focus on her divorce to Simon Konecki after a two year marriage. Referring to her nine year old son, Angelo, Adele clarified that she wanted the record to serve as an explanation to him when he’s older as to why “she voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life” in pursuit of her own happiness. Needleless to say, it’s going to be an emotional album that won’t only pull on our heartstrings but also provide us an in-depth perspective of the singer and what she went through during this life changing event.

“I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself if new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go so far as to say that I’ve never felt more peaceful in my life. And so, I’m ready to finally put this album out”, the thirty-three year old English singer stated on her Instagram regarding the widely anticipated album. Adele further relayed upon her personal struggles and emotional turmoil during the making of this album.

The singer also pre-released the song “Easy on Me” from the album on October 15th which immediately became Music Service Provider Spotify’s most streamed song in a single day. Accompanied with a black and white music video, it portrays Adele as she leaves her previous home behind and sets out into a new life. Packed with her extraordinary vocals, the artist manages to convey raw emotion and some heart breaking realities of life, something she’s always been able to do through her music quite well. Safe to say, the rest of the songs are not going to be any less tear jerkers.

“It’s sensitive for me, this record, just in how much I love it” – Adele.
