Pakistan reports below 1,000 Covid cases for second consecutive day: NCOC
ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) for the second consecutive day on Sunday reported coronavirus cases below 1,000-mark across Pakistan, showing a sign of recovery by far from the pandemic.
Pakistan on Sunday reported 720 fresh coronavirus cases out of 44,831 tests conducted on Saturday, with a positivity ratio of 1.6 per cent. Seventeen people died during the last 24 hours, pushing the death tally to 28,269, while 1,958 others are still on critical care.
No new patient has been placed on critical care, according to the NCOC, the department leading Pakistan’s campaign against the pandemic.

The NCOC had on Saturday reported that 893 cases were detected during the last 24 hours on Friday, along with 24 new deaths.

Total 1,209,878 patients have recovered from the viral disease so far, including 1,440 new recoveries. Out of 1,264,384 cases detected as yet, Sindh patients outnumbered patients in other provinces with 465,486 cases. While, Punjab reported 437,793 Covid-19 cases, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 176,774, Islamabad 106,445 and Balochistan 33,120 cases.
