Virgin Atlantic has announced that both services will resume operations on November 8th, the same day as the US borders reopen, bringing the charm of Orlando and the dazzling lights of Las Vegas one step closer.

Flights between Manchester Airport and New York have also resumed, boosting connections between the Big Apple and the north of England.

Following the good news that fully vaccinated tourists may fly over the Atlantic again, Virgin Atlantic is working hard to ensure that its customers can get back on the plane as soon as possible, allowing them to reunite with loved ones or enjoy that long-awaited vacation.

Both London Heathrow and Manchester will have daily flights to Orlando.

The route is now the most booked in Virgin Atlantic’s worldwide portfolio, indicating that there is still a high demand for families and thrill-seekers to experience the charm of Florida’s top destination.

To satisfy the additional demand, the airline will use the newest and largest jet in its inventory, the Airbus A350-100, on its Heathrow to Orlando route from November 8 to 14.

Daily flights from London Heathrow to Las Vegas will be operated by a Boeing 787-900, with daily services from Manchester to New York restarting on an Airbus A330.

Chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic, Juha Jarvinen, commented: “Our customers are ready to begin their US adventures, whether it’s to enjoy the magic of Orlando or to party the night away in Las Vegas, therefore it’s only right that we offer them the opportunity to fly as soon as we can.”

“I’m delighted that our Orlando and Las Vegas services will begin on November 8th, the same day transatlantic travel reopens.”

“We can’t wait to transport customers to our favorite destinations in the US safely once more,” he added.
