KARACHI: Two suspects arrested in the murder case of Nazim Jokhio have confessed to killing the victim in Malir Memon Goth area of Karachi.

Investigation sources have quoted the suspects, Mir Ali and Haider, as saying that Nazim Jokhio was beaten with sticks to death, while he was trying to escape from the Jam House in Malir.

The investigation sources claimed to have obtained phone call records of Pakistan Peoples Party MPA Jam Awais and other suspects embroiled in the case, Bol news reported.

On November 4, police had registered a case against Jam Awais and his aides for allegedly torturing Nazim Jokhio to death.

According to the police, Nazim Jokhio was killed for stopping a group of foreigners from illegally hunting the Houbara bustard in the area and making their video as evidence.
