PSP to challenge Sindh Local Bodies Act in SHC

KARACHI: Pak Sarzameen Party Chief Syed Mustafa Kamal on Wednesday announced to challenge the newly passed Sindh Local Bodies Act in the Sindh High Court.

Speaking to the press, the PSP chief said that the Acts such forces people to take arms for their rights and move to mountains, adding that he has been saying it from long that the devolution of power is solution to all problems of the country.

He said that five people in the country – Prime Minister and four chief ministers – are deciding the fate of the entire nation. “How come a chief minister decide about the rural schools, colleges and hospitals,” he questioned.

Later in the day, Kamal made phone calls to Punjab Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Noorani) chief Shah Owais Noorani to discuss the limitations of the Sindh local bodies bill. He remained confident that the people of Sindh will be with him to challenge the Act at his every call.
