Locals in Mangaluru, Karnataka, took a swim in filthy, slushy water as they celebrated ‘Kesard Onji Dina’ with zeal.

The celebration involves people having a good time in muddy water, and it was certainly a Sunday well spent for the local kids.

Children can be seen taking a plunge in the slush and dancing to the full volume of music in videos of the event that have been shared on social media. The event drew a large crowd.

According to the media tweet, ladies also took part in the event. Vijaya Yuva Sangama organized the event.

According to the organizers, the goal of the event was to raise awareness about agriculture and sports related to it.

Competitions in running, reverse running, kabaddi, volleyball, and throwball were also held as part of the event.
