Samsung Galaxy A04e has been added to the NBTC & Indonesian Telecom databases

The low-end Galaxy A04 appears to be in the thick of Samsung’s never-ending stream of sequels and reimaginings. The Samsung Galaxy A03 came out last year. About a month ago, the Samsung Galaxy A04 came out, and just recently, the A04s joined the line.

All of the phones in the entry-level range have similar specs and only slightly different looks. According to Samsung’s most recent certification filings on the NBTC and Indonesian Telecom websites, the Samsung Galaxy A04e is the name of a new A04 variant that is currently in development.

Several important facts about the phone are revealed in the listings. Here’s a quick look at it all. Galaxy A04e, designated SM-A042FS/DS, is listed in the NBTC approval as a supported device.

The “DS” in the model number means that the phone has two SIM card slots. The NBTC document shows that the phone can connect to GSM, WCDMA, and LTE networks.

This means that it can’t connect to 5G networks and has a 4G-capable chipset inside. Most of the time, the dual-SIM option depends on where you live. The link to Indonesian Telecom Certification doesn’t tell us much about the new A Samsung mobile.

But the listing shows that the A04e’s model number has been slightly changed to SM-A042F, which could mean that the phone will only work with a single SIM card in that region.

The same model number, “SM-A042F,” was listed on Geekbench before, but the name was a little off. Instead of A04e, the phone was called A04 core. Here are some details that Geekbench revealed, no matter what.

Android 12’s Go version is pre-installed on A04e. It is powered by an engine called MediaTek Helio G35, which has eight cores that run at a base frequency of 2.30 GHz.

With a PowerVR Rogue GE8320 GPU and a total of 3gigs of RAM, the processor works well. We still don’t know much about the phone’s camera, battery, or screen. When new information comes out, we’ll let you know.
