Samsung’s latest budget 5G smartphones, the Galaxy A34 and A54, are now receiving a significant security update to bolster device protection against potential threats. Rolled out globally in April 2024, this software patch aims to enhance security across various regions in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

In the Philippines, Galaxy A34 users will receive firmware version A346EXXS6BXD6, while countries such as Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, the UAE, and Tunisia will receive versions A346EXXS6BXD7 and A346EXXS6BXD9.

Samsung Galaxy A54 Update

Galaxy A54 users in Argentina, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Thailand, the Philippines, Uruguay, and Vietnam can expect firmware version A546EXXS7BXD1. However, some Asian regions, including Pakistan, are still awaiting this update.

Though these updates focus primarily on security enhancements and do not include new features or performance improvements, Samsung emphasizes their importance and urges users to install them promptly.

To install the update, Galaxy A34 and A54 owners can navigate to Settings, select Software Update, and tap Download and Install. Pakistani users will receive a notification when the update is available for installation.
