ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency’s Immigration has arrested a wanted proclaimed offender in a human trafficking case.
FIA Immigration arrested Ajmal Muhammad, the wanted proclaimed offender in the case of human trafficking, while taking action at Islamabad Airport.
The FIA spokesman says that the accused was arrested on reaching Islamabad from United Arab Emirates (UAE), the name of the accused was in the stop list, wanted by anti-human trafficking Lahore.
The FIA spokesperson further said that a case was registered against the accused in 2023, the accused absconded after receiving huge sums in the name of visa.
Earlier, Federal Investigation Agency’s State Bank Circle arrested two suspects including the bank manager involved in illegal currency exchange and recovered thousands of dollars.
FIA State Bank Circle raided the stock exchange parking lot on a tip-off. During the raid, 2 suspects including the manager of the bank established in the stock exchange were arrested.
The FIA said that the team recovered $45,000 from the possession of the accused, the recovered dollars are worth more than Rs 12.5 million.
The spokesman said that the raid was carried out on the instructions of the Director FIA Karachi Zone, the suspects include bank branch manager Faisal and Maysam Raza.
