LAHORE: For the first time, an artificial intelligence-enabled vehicle has been developed in Punjab to conduct driving tests.
The AI-based car, manufactured in Lahore, will be used to assess drivers’ skills. Authorities confirmed that 200 such vehicles will soon be produced and dispatched to driving test centers across the province.
Equipped with cameras and automated software, the system will immediately fail a candidate if the reverse gear is used more than once, shutting down the vehicle automatically.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Police Waqar Nazir said the AI-powered car will enhance transparency and efficiency in the driving test process.
