President of Pakistan Muslim League-N has resigned from the chairmanship of Public Accounts Committee in National Assembly.

According to the details, Shahbaz Sharif has submitted his resignation to Speaker National Assembly, Asad Qaiser, the Speaker immediately  approved resignation received from Opposition Leader.

The National Assembly Secretariat has issued a notification in this regard, resignation is accepted and applicable from November 20, 2019, notification reads.

PMLN to resign from Standing Committees

Earlier, former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has submitted a written affidavit guaranteeing the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The Lahore High Court on Saturday asked for a written affidavit from the Sharif family guaranteeing that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan after receiving treatment.

The court, after resuming the hearing following a short recess, sought the written assurances from Nawaz Sharif and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif.
