Timing of Babri Mosque verdict leaves many questions: FM

Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said the Indian Supreme Court’s verdict in Babri Mosque case apparently reflects the bigoted ideology of Modi government.

In his statement today, he also expressed surprise as to why did the day of opening of Kartarpur Corridor was chosen by the Indian apex court for the verdict in Babri Mosque case.

The Foreign Minister noted that Muslims are already under a lot of pressure in India and this decision of the Indian court will further increase pressure on them.

The verdict on Babri Mosque land in Ayodhya, was announced today by Supreme Court of India that the ownership of disputed religious site will be given to Hindus for the construction of a temple.

According to details, The five-judge bench, in a unanimous decision over the Babri Mosque site, asked the government to set up of a trust that will construct a temple for Hindu deity Ram.

They ruled that it is an undisputed faith of Hindus that Lord Ram was born under one of the domes.
