Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed deep grief over the loss of precious life in Turkey earthquake.

According to the Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa had expressed his condolences over the loss of lives in the quake.

“A Pakistan Army contingent, including special rescue and relief team and field medical facilities, are ready as part of assistance offered by the government,” the press release added.

A powerful earthquake hit Turkey due to which 18 people killed, several buildings have collapsed and multiple injuries reported.

According to the details, massive tremor of 6.8 magnitude hit the Turkey on Friday in which several building collapsed and there are fears of People still be trapped under the rubble.

Aid workers have reached to the scene.

Earthquake tremor also  felt in several parts of  Syria and in Lebanon, in the cities of Beirut and Tripoli.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said the earthquake measured 6.9 and struck eastern Turkey. A strong earthquake is between 6 and 6.0 on the Richter scale.
