#COVID19: Sindh bans pillion riding in lockdown days

Sindh government has issued a notification clarifying that pillion riding is banned in the province, here on Monday.

According to the details, clarification has been issued by the government of Sindh that clarifies the rules and regulations of the curfew.

The clarification addresses the inspector general of Sindh police, all AIG’s in Sindh and all commissioners of Sindh.

The notification clarifies ambiguities related to the lockdown amid the novel coronavirus.

It is pertinent to mention that the Punjab government also imposed article 144 of the constitution that bars people from pillion riding except those who are exempted by the law.

The ban has been imposed for 15 days.

Earlier, The Ministry of Interior has called the Pakistan Army under article 245 of the constitution of Pakistan, DG narrated.

DG said that the world has tested our nation in the earthquake of 2005, flood of 2010 and in the war against terrorism. This time we are facing a unique danger and the army stands by the shoulder to shoulder with the civil administration for combating the pandemic.

Mr. Babar also said that all the medical resources hold by the military will be used to counter the novel coronavirus. Its a tough time and we have to make more tough decisions on individual, family and society levels.

He stated the lockdown plan by Pak Army and said all borders have been closed and unnecessary movement will be banned. Intercity transport service will be used only for the food supply chain and public transport within the city will remain closed.
