Petroleum supply resumed to pump stations in Karachi

In Karachi, whilst ongoing lockdown situation, petroleum companies have resumed the supply of petrol to pump stations after more than 20 hours.

The companies had suspended the supply due to shortage in the reserves of petrol and diesel across the country.

Following a decrease in fuel prices by the government, demand for the commodities had increased resulting in pumps running out almost immediately.

According to people, fuel had been previously available at PSO pumps only.

However, after 20 hours, supply has gotten better and other pumps have also started selling petrol and diesel.

Earlier, Petrol shortage news has triggered panic among the residents of Karachi. The state-run Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has rejected the rumors of fuel deficiency.

PSO spokesperson said that sufficient stocks of petrol and diesel available as there is absolutely no issue of fuel supply. Petroleum product  supply will continues uninterrupted across the country.

PSO staff working even in difficult times. The supply from all depots is continuing apart from the Ramadan timings and on Sunday.
