Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch the biggest tree plantation campaign on Sunday. Around 3.5 million trees will be planted in a day across the country.

This campaign is the biggest tree plantation campaign in the history of Pakistan.

Around a million volunteers of the PM’s Tiger Force will participate in the Ten Billion Tree Tsunami initiative, making Tiger Force Day.

The Premier has earlier called people to join the campaign. In a tweet, he assured that he will try to exceed the number of target trees.

“I want everyone to join me tomorrow, 9 Aug, in planting trees all over Pak. Have asked my MPs, ministers, Chief Ministers, and Tiger Force to participate in the biggest tree planting campaign in our history. The target is 35 lakh trees in a day though we will try to exceed it.”

Volunteers have been divided into several teams and have given certain duties to carry out the campaign.

According to details, around 350,000 saplings have been distributed as per the PM’s directives so they can be planted today.
