Earlier, PM Imran had refused to accept the resignation of Asim Saleem Bajwa and asked him to carry on as his aide.
Asim Bajwa had presented his resignation to the prime minister, which the premier rejected. The prime minister was quoted as saying that he was satisfied with the clarification that the SAPM had provided in response to a published article on his assets.
Bajwa said that he will continue to work as a chairman of CPEC as he wants to pay full attention to the CPEC project.
It should be mentioned here that on 27th August, Ahmed Noorani on an unknown website accused Lt. General Asim Saleem Bajwa (retd) of corruption.
