The district health office on Saturday said that a “mini” lockdown will be imposed in certain areas of Islamabad from Sunday.
A notification was issued which stated that the federal capital’s areas including G-9/4, G-10/4, I-8/2, and NPF will put under a “mini” lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus.
The district health urged the people to cooperate with health and security officials during the “mini” lockdown period.

“Street numbers 25 and 29 in sector I-8/2 and street numbers 85 and 89 of sector G-9/4 have the same trend of increasing COVID-19 cases,” the notification stated.
It should be mentioned here that 17,210 coronavirus infections, 188 deaths, and 16,279 recoveries were recorded in Islamabad so far.
