An anti-terrorism court on Monday extended interim bail of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Rana Sanaullah and Captain (retd) Safdar until October 15 in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) office attack case.
Rana Sannaullah appeared before the anti-terrorism court as it resumed hearing the case. Safdar moved an application seeking exemption from personal appearance, which was granted.
The counsel of Safdar also submitted a medical report of his client in the court.
Rana Sanaullah and Captain (retd) Safdar are among the PML-N members nominated in the case.
Earlier on August 12, Lahore police had registered a case against 300 PML-N leaders including its Vice President Maryam Nawaz after violent clashes outside the NAB office.
It should be noted that a clash had broken out between the PML-N activists and police on August 11th, during Maryam Nawaz’s appearance before the NAB office.
Maryam Nawaz’s bulletproof vehicle’s glass was broken after a stone hit it while the police had taken action and arrested the PML-N activists.
Later PML-N central vice president Maryam Nawaz said that Imran Khan’s only goal now is to put pressure on the opposition and catch the people.
Maryam Nawaz also said that Imran Khan is clinging to power after failures because he is afraid. He is so cruel that he is afraid of his fate.
On request of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), an FIR then lodged against the Pakistan Muslim League (N) activists for creating chaos.
FIR was registered at the police station Chohang on the request of the anti-graft body.
As many as 300 activists of the PML-N, Maryam Nawaz, her husband Captain (retd) Safdar, and Rana Sana Ullah have been nominated in the FIR.
