Opposition parties, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have demanded transparency in Gilgit-Baltistan elections.
According to the details, Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and leaders of both the parties in a meeting have demanded to make the elections transparent by consensus.
In this regard, a statement has also been issued according to which the presidents of both the parties in Gilgit-Baltistan will work out strategies to prevent election rigging.
The statement said that the interference of the federal government in the electoral process of Gilgit-Baltistan is a blatant violation of the court and electoral laws of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The PDM will save the nation and the country by sending home the elected government, the thief of national development, inflation, and economic oppression of the people.
Earlier today, Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met to discuss the ongoing election campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Both the leaders have been in the northern region of the country for the past several days. They are there for a campaign trail ahead of the Sunday polls for the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly.
Sources say that both the leaders are stationed at the same hotel.
