The novel coronavirus has claimed 85 lives in the past 24 hours bringing the national death tally to 9,753.

According to the national COVID-19 portal, 2,152 infections were reported in a single day and 1,824 recoveries during this period.

The national caseload now stands at 467,222 with 418,958 recoveries. The active cases toll is 38, 511.

SARS Covid-2

On the other hand, the Ministry of National Health Services, in a statement said that Pakistan is closely monitoring the situation and information is also being collected about passengers coming from the UK.

The statement said Pakistan is fully aware of the current situation regarding SARS Covid-2 in the United Kingdom. It further said the presence of SARS Covid-2 has not been found in the country.

World Coronavirus Situation

The number of Coronavirus cases across the world has reached 79,735,214 while the pandemic has claimed 1,749,528 lives so far. As many as 56,131,561 patients have recovered from the disease across the world.
