The new aircraft for Pakistan International Airlines will be taken on a 6-year dry lease for which offers have been invited nationally and internationally.

Note that dry lease refers to a long-term procedure in which an aircraft is delivered to an airline on a monthly or annual basis without staffing, maintenance or insurance.

Weight lease, on the other hand, is a procedure in which the aircraft is delivered with crew and maintenance under a short-term procedure, while the payment is made by calculating the flight time.

According to an advertisement in national newspapers, all the eight aircraft will have to be handed over to PIA between January and December 2021.

Aircraft should have more than 170 economy seats with a short distance after 2 rows.
