After two passenger trains collided in Egypt’s Sohag province, killing 32 people and leaving several injured, the spokesperson to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) extended condolences to Egypt’s government and people.

In a tweet, MoFA wrote,

We extend sincere condolences to the government & people of #Egypt on loss of life & injuries in a train collision in #Sohag governorate today.”

“We stand in solidarity with brotherly Egypt, pray for the lives lost & wish speedy recovery to those injured,” MoFA tweeted.
