Pakistan Navy conducted bilateral exercises with Qatar Naval forces, said Spokesperson on Monday.

According to the Spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Navy Ships visited Doha port, Qatar and participated in bilateral exercise Asad Al Bahr-II with Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QENF).

Spokesperson PN said that during port visit, the Mission Commander of PN Flotilla called on various dignitaries of host country.

On completion of port visit, bilateral exercise Asad Al Bahr-II was conducted between Pakistan Navy (PN) and Qatar Emiri Naval Forces ships along with aircraft of QEAF.

PN Spokesperson said that the exercise was aimed to strengthen bilateral ties, enhance naval collaborations and interoperability among the two navies.

Earlier this month Major General Saeed Hassen Mohammad Al-Khayareen, Commander Qatar Emiri Land Forces called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at General Headquarters.

During the meeting, according to ISPR, matters of mutual and professional interest and regional security situation including Afghan Peace Process and enhanced bilateral defense and security cooperation were discussed.

ISPR in its statement added that the visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan Army’s sincere efforts for regional peace and reiterated that Pakistan and Qatar share brotherly relations which over a period of time are transforming into mutually beneficial ties.

On the occasion, according to ISPR, the COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa thanked the dignitary and said that Pakistan Army greatly values its brotherly relations with its time-tested friend.
