Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has on Tuesday (today) called on Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to sources, PM Imran and COAS Bajwa exchanged views on the current political and security situation of the country.
Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI) Luitenant General Faiz Hameed was also present during the meeting, sources added.
Earlier in the day, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement regarding the intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted by the Pakistan Army Security Forces in Ladha, South Waziristan after the presence of terrorists being reported.
According to ISPR, the security forces conducted an IBO in Ladha area of South Waziristan. During an intense exchange of fire, one terrorist, Peer alias Asad was killed.
The killed terrorist was an active member of TTP since 2006, added ISPR.
He joined Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Baitullah Mehsud Group and remained involved in terrorist activities against Security Forces.
Moreover, after the death of Hakeem Ullah Mehsud, he joined the Shehryar Mehsud Group, said ISPR.
