The Lahore Accountability Court has on Thursday extended the judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shahbaz Sharif in assets more than income reference.

According to the details, the court extended remand till 19 days after reviewing the jail warrant.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court has also approved exemption from the hearing plea of Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly and PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz and adjourned the proceedings till May 4.

The previous day, Lahore High Court (LHC) granted bail to Shahbaz Sharif in assets beyond means and money laundering case and directed him to submit two surety bonds of Rs5 million to avail the relief.

Following his bail, PML-N Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb while talking to media congratulated the nation over Shahbaz Sharif’s bail and said it has vindicated the party president and buried PTI government’s fake narrative of corruption forever.
