Karachi-Pakistan Railways on Saturday partially resumed its operations as the Khyber Mail has left for Peshawar from Sukkur Rohri Junction.
Earlier, the train operation was suspended three weeks ago due to the inundation of the railway track after the recent rains and flood across the country.
Pakistan Railways Spokesperson said the railway track between Padidan and Bhiria road was affected. Till now the train connection to Karachi could not be restored.
The Pakistan Railways has currently started railway services for other cities of the country. The first train Khyber Mail departed from Rohri this morning.
The Ministry of Railways has announced to run 10 passenger trains. These passenger trains will travel between Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, and Rohri.
Railway’s Spokesperson also said that Khyber Mail will run between Peshawar to Rawalpindi, Lahore to Multan, and Rohri to Peshawar while Rehman Baba Express will route from Peshawar to Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Rohri to Peshawar.
Similarly, Karachi Express will run between Lahore to Rohri and Rohri to Lahore and Tezgam Express will track between Rawalpindi to Rohri and Rohri to Rawalpindi. The Green-Line Express will run between Rawalpindi and Rohri
According to the Spokesperson, Allama Iqbal Express will run between Wazirabad, Sialkot Narowal Lahore, Khanewal, and Rohri. Fareed Express will run between Pakpattan and Rohri from Lahore.
The Karakoram Express will run between Lahore to Faisalabad and Rohri to Lahore and Jafar Express will travel between Peshawar to Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, and Rohri to Peshawar.
