KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) was moved by Ahsan Adil Sheikh, son of Member of Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh requesting to stop police for the arrest of his father.

The petitioner is the son of a Member of the Sindh Assembly and Leader of the Opposition Haleem Sheikh. It was submitted in the court that several FIRs have been registered against Haleem Adil Sheikh in politically motivated cases.

Ahsan Adil Sheikh submitted that police are conducting raids on the house despite obtaining bail. He further said his sister is getting married on November 27 but police conducted raided of the house on November 17.

The security guards of the house were harassed when they tried to stop them during the raid. The police have been harassing the petitioner and his family by entering the house and raids.

The petitioner feared that police can arrest his father (Haleem Adil Sheikh) and ridicule him.

It was requested by the court to obtain details of all the cases, investigations, and inquiries against Haleem Adil Sheikh from the police.
