LAHORE: Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested 12 suspects allegedly belonged to banned organizations during raids conducted  in different areas of the province.

CTD Punjab has conducted operations against terrorists in various districts including Lahore.

During these operations, 12 suspected persons belonging to banned organizations have been arrested. The CTD also recovered explosives, electric switches, detonator safety fuses and weapons from the alleged terrorists.

CTD has registered eight cases against the alleged terrorists in different cities of the province.

It should be noted that among those arrested are Muhammad Arif, who belongs to the banned organization Daesh, along with Zakirullah, Khurram Ali, Irfan Khan, Javed Khan, Basir Khan, Adam Khan and Zahid Khan.

It may be noted that 373 intelligence-based operations have been conducted during one week and during these combing operations 17,001 persons have been checked while 58 suspects have been arrested and 54 FIRs have been registered, 72 recoveries have been made.
