LAHORE: Senior Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader and former Punjab chief minister Waseem Ahmed Khan has joined Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), Bol News reported.

The announcement was made during his meeting with PTI Central Vice President Senator Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry in Lahore. Joining the PTI, he expressed his trust on Imran Khan. Ejaz Ahmed presented him the party muffler.

On this occasion, party leader Mian Saqib Mahboob, Sajid Sardar Joia, Asif Bhai and others were present.

Ejaz Chaudhry said PTI was the most popular party of Pakistan and true representative party of the masses. He said Imran Khan had the capability to rescue the country from crises. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had brought the country to the cliff of destruction, he maintained.

The senator said centre of his party’s politics was country’s interest. He said the PDM should fulfil their desire of bringing the no-trust motions in provincial assemblies against the PTI, as they would be defeated at every front.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan has rescheduled divisional-level advisory meetings with members of the Punjab Assembly to dissolve assembly.

It has been decided to start the consultation meetings of former prime minister Imran Khan at the divisional level from Monday instead of Sunday.

All the divisional assembly members of Punjab will be informed about the schedule and the chief whip of PTI in the Punjab Assembly will be given the schedule of divisional meetings today.
