Jamia Ghazali Karachi gets University status
KARACHI: The Jamia Ghazali campus of Jamiat-ul-Rashid, a well-known seminary of Karachi has been granted university status.
Journalists from print and electric media were given a study tour of various departments of Jamia Ghazali University.
The Jamia Ghazali university will be authorised to teach and issue degrees of BBA, MBA, B.Ed, M.Ed., and LLB under the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Law. While in the future medical and engineering departments will also be established in the university.
Regarding the future planning of Jamia Ghazali after Pakistan’s famous Jamia Al-Rashid located in the Gulshan e Maymar area of Karachi, the experts of Jamia Ghazali have said that in the coming days, this educational institution will play an important role in the leadership, economy and all fields.
Experts said that according to the policy of the Sindh government to inculcate the Madaris across Sindh into the mainstream education system, Jamia Ghazali is the first of its kind in Sindh, which has been given the status of a university, which will now equip students with religious and worldly education as well.
Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori signed the charter after the approval of the Al-Ghazali University Charter, a unique educational institution of its kind.
Maulana Ayaz Shah while visiting the various departments of Jamia Al-Rashid and Jamia Ghazali told the journalists that this institution is important from the religious and worldly point of view, and its basic philosophy starts from the Nizami circle, however, keeping in mind the modern trends, experts in other fields including digital media, information technology, and economy are now present in these two universities. The students of Jamia Al Rashid have achieved outstanding performances in several national competitions.
Patron General of Al-Rashid University and Chancellor of Al-Ghazali University Mufti Abdul Rahim, said, “we have designed the curriculum in a way that we can turn the crowd into a nation so that the collectivity factor emerges among the people.”
