RAWALPINDI: As many as two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire with security forces in the Esham area of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the intense firing continued for hours during which two terrorists were killed. The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the possession of terrorists.

The killed terrorists remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

ISPR said the incident re-vindicates Pak Army’s resolve to have zero tolerance for terrorism in Pakistan and reaffirms its determination to take on any and all entities that resort to violence.

Earlier, on Jan 28, a terrorist was killed by security forces during an Intelligence-Based Operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists during the operation. As a result, one terrorist was killed in the exchange of fire.
