Lahore Anti-Corruption Court adjourned the President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Chief Minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi illegal recruitment in the Punjab Assembly case hearing till February 12.

In the case of illegal recruitment in the Punjab Assembly, the former Chief Minister Punjab Pervaiz Elahi and others could not be charged.

Lahore Anti-Corruption Court Judge Arshad Hussain heard the case of illegal recruitment in the Punjab Assembly for which Pervaiz Elahi was present in the court along with his lawyers.

During the hearing, Pervaiz Elahi asked the judge to stay in the courtroom for some time. On this, the judge said that you should stay in the court, but no one will bring tea and biscuits here. Tea and biscuits were served here last time also.

Later, the court postponed the indictment proceedings due to the non-appearance of the two accused and at the same time summoned all the accused for the indictment proceedings at the next hearing.

On the other hand, Accountability Court Judge Zubair Shahzad Kiyani heard the references of alleged corruption in development projects, in which Pervaiz Elahi and other accused brought before the court.

During the hearing, the court fixed February 14 as the date for indicting the accused, during which copies of the reference were distributed to the accused.

Moreover, the court summoned all the accused including Pervaiz Elahi for indictment.
